Biography
Diyodi Menon is a filmmaker, visual storyteller, and creative project manager working across film, digital narrative, and socially engaged cultural practice.
He began his career in Sri Lanka as a journalist during the civil war, working with the late Dr Kumar Rupasinghe through the National Anti War Front, the organisation he founded in Sri Lanka. Dr Rupasinghe was also the former Secretary General of Amnesty International, and this early exposure shaped Diyodi’s long term commitment to truth, accountability, and ethical storytelling.
Diyodi holds a degree in Information Technology from Sri Lanka and a degree in Management and Leadership from the United Kingdom. Before moving fully into the creative sector, he worked in the UK energy industry as a data analyst, developing strong skills in systems thinking, evidence led decision making, and delivery under pressure.
He is the founder of The Lie Feed, a self funded media campaign and international film festival exploring the myths shaping contemporary life and their emotional impact. His creative leadership has been supported by Arts Council England through a Developing Your Creative Practice award and a National Lottery Project Grant, including delivery of MythBusters Digital Take Back.
Alongside his own practice, Diyodi has managed and supported major publicly funded programmes led by partner artists and organisations, including 1in3, Feel at Home, and Recipes of Resilience, with a focus on coordination, delivery, reporting, and high quality outcomes.
He continues his international human rights work with the International Movement Against All Forms of Discrimination and Racism Asia Committee, supporting accountability and justice for victims of war crimes through project work, online learning, and digital advocacy.
Diyodi also works across education and enterprise, delivering training on AI supported content creation and digital strategy with the University of Wolverhampton, Access to Business UK, and community organisations. He is currently engaged with Outside In.
At the core of his work is one aim. To create clear, cinematic storytelling that cuts through noise, builds trust, and delivers measurable cultural and community impact.
